On the way from Belgrade to Skopje the highway is passing through town of Vladicin Han. This is not just a hometown of many famous Gypsy brass bands, like Boban Markovic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boban_Marković and http://bobanmarkovic.calabashmusic.com/).
Vladicin Han is also the only place, after Belgrade that is 'cut' by the highway passing through its core. It is an industrial town with, as many small places in Serbia, failing industry and deterioration. For those interested to see how a recent urban plan tries to give a different spirit to the place, and hear more about the town, landscape architect and urban designer Suzana Stankovic (living between Amsterdam and Vladicin Han and the designer of the plan), will be ready to tell us more on 10 August from 16-17h! If you want to take part, please sign by posting a comment.

RUNNER
http://sparror.cubecinema.com/running/

Runner is a collaborative project between Amy Feneck and Laura Mansfield. We have a shared interest in alternative explorations of public space. We wish to create a network of like minded individuals, sharing new experiences of the city, playing with its infrastructure. Mapping, narrating, creating, and continuingly layering a personal history of a site.

We chose an action – to run
We took all associations the action holds
Leisure, fear, protest, fitness, freedom
To explore new space
To create a new narrative
To challenge and change our everyday.

And we are asking you to run, to draw your own line through your own city. To create a new history within the space, and tell us your experience seen with the action, passing in motion in a state of physical exhaustion.
