Share your content and help us make the expedition work

Dear LHE participant,

the Lost Highway Expedition is approaching very soon and we are very much looking forward to your coming. Our web page has been updated and we would now like to invite you to help fill its content. Our internet platform relies on activity and interaction of its members, who will shape its content with their own intellectual input, but also through their interaction with other LHE members. There you will also gradually find dates and times of some of the meetings along the highway, useful tips for travel, as well as announcements about emerging events along the way. You can also search for a travel buddy or offer to be one.

As the program for the individual cities is currently in process and you can help shape this content with your ideas, suggestions, and feedback. We will be updating our status quo and discussions with local organizations and individuals, and we ask you to react to these. If you already have a travel plan and a vehicle, and if you are willing to share a ride with others, please post this information on the site under travel issues.

Our partner organizations in the individual cities will help you find a cheap accommodation in student homes, private apartments and pensions. For some cities, reservations must be made this week or very soon. Please list your name and email below each city and date you attempt to visit, so that we can calculate a number of reservations for each night and evntually make them in your name where needed.

And finally, do not forget to check if you need a visa for the countries you intend to visit....If you have already researched this, please post some info or links on the web that might be useful for others.

More news are coming soon :)

Best regards,
Azra Aksamija

simple mapping app

hi azra, what an undertaking. i think you should be aware of a web based public mapping service that could be of very much use to the LHE (front end and back end) and its members, called platial.

it's a very simple way to collaborate on various layers of a map, and it offers exportable iframes that can be hosted on any other websites (like this one).

i'd be happy to chat about the uses i see as being very helpful for you. this critically based art practice is one of the many types of uses we strive to support.

looking forward to it all.
