It is possible to find accommodation in the pensions whose rates are lower than those in the hotels.
The list of the pensions in Sarajevo follows.
According to Stefano Romano in Tirana, the car driving time can take 10 hours. SO BE AWARE.
We will be in Skopje August 11-12 and Prishtina 14-15, so it may be good from Athens. Please check our site http://europelostandfound.net/ It has everything, schedule and housing info. Yes driving would be fine. Sorry to be short. On the run.

Hi, just wanted to know if EU citizens need to get Visas to any of the countries we're visiting...
When traveling through Serbia and also Montenegro, you will notice use of two alphabets: Cyrillic and Latin. If you have to read names of the streets for instance, it might be useful to have both alphabets at hand.
Visit following link at Wikipedia for comparison between them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbian_language
For Macedonian (slightly different) version of the alphabet see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonian_alphabet.
The cheapest and easiest way is to travel by train.
Departures from Ljubljana Train station at: 2:35, 6:15, 8:35, 13:20, 14:08, 15:40*, 17:45, 21:05, 21:45.
*not on Saturdays and Sundays
The journey takes aprox. 2 hours. Price (one way): 11,90 eur

Hi Jaume and Pablo
Thanks. Great that Jaume will come together with Dionis and Vahida from Barcelona. Hey everyone, please check our web site for housing updates.
you might want to make reservations soon. And please subscribe to our newsletters,
This way we get you on our main mailing list, so we can update you with new housing, travel and program development that are now on-going. THink about what you would like to do here to. You can start your own projects, presentations, events, talks, or others. We have spaces in each city to do them and they are opening for your events. You can list your own program, after we put what we have created already. Or you can wait scheduling your event until you get here. We start at each city at a meeting point, and there people can propose how to add new programs of their, into our base program.
Even sharing trains, buses and airplane may be nice for some people. If you agree, than please post the following info under the category "LHE Transportation."
CITY TO CITY [Ljubljana to Zagreb for example. Can also include to and from LHE. Who knows you may meet an LHE at same flight or airport lounge for an espresso]
DATE OF TRAVEL [August 1 for example]
TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION [train, bus or air?]
CITY/NATION OF RESIDENCE
YOUR MOBILE NUMBER [please include country code]
Some people may drive to LHE, and if you have empty seats + fuel costs + conversation that you would like to share, please blog your info under the category "LHE Transportation" and post the following info [YOU ARE WELCOME TO CHANGE THIS FORMAT ACCORDING TO YOUR NEED]. The rule could be that the owner of the car has the right to invite the person to share the ride. May be this is too obvious.
TYPE OF PASSPORT [name of country or EU for example]
CITY OF OIRIGIN [to share on the way to LHE]
CITY OF RETURN [to share after LHE]
CITYOF LHE [please state all cities and the dates that you would be there. Remember its not necessary to follow our program. You can make your own schedule, skip some cities, stay longer and earlier at one city than our schedule]
everyone who will participate in Ljubljana on July 30th and needs visa, please have in mind that you should apply for it as soon as possible. After our experience the process of getting it is taking at least 3 weeks.
You can check on the site of Slovenian Ministry for foreign affairs your status: http://www.mzz.gov.si
In a case you need it, please send us mail with all your data* and we will send you Invitation letter that you need.
