The following are some excerpts from our private email correspondence regarding the coordination, quality, and mutual agreements regarding the decentralization of the project’s events, exhibitions, etc.

We believe in the concept of "integrated autonomy" in our open and decentralized project. More specifically, each collaborating organizations, has independent autonomy to conceive, program and curate their event, and yet each event and organization should be integrated with other events and organizations. For instance, concept, program and creation of an exhibition or event should have both invitations and contents that purely originate from a particular institution, as well as from ELF members [which could mean SMS + Centrala + LHE cities + other exhibition spaces].
"Lost Property represents a selection of things from one days property recovered by the London Transport Lost Property Office. We are easily seduced into acquiring, exchanging and displaying vast quantities of material things. Accumulation, in its broadest sense, is the literal writing-into-being of an individual or culture."

I talked with Vanja today because we could not hear him so well on yesterday’s SKYPE. I will summerize our conversation this weekend as Progress Report 3, that include SKYPE 18. Anyway, Vanja and I thought we have 2 concepts on web, one by Vanja below and what Azra put up March 6th. We will find something of mix or in-between, through our temporary web master DJ Weiss, whom I hope to talk with this weekend about this, and his result with Susanne, adminstrator of Florian’s system that we are using.
Please check out great recent text by DJ Weiss on the philosophy of Balkanification and his fantastic project “The Fences of Balkanizations” with Marjetica.
